The new OS will have the following new major features which can be of benefit to business using Apple devices:

  • Widgets on the desktop (instead of just in the notification center)
  • Lock screen changed to include date and time, similar to iOS and iPadOS.
  • Video conferencing apps can overlay the presenters webcam video ontop of the screen sharing.

Various security enhancements have been added throughout the OS as well, making the OS more secure and useful for business use cases.

Some new feature is in Safari allow for:

  • Password sharing
  • Browsing profiles
  • Web Apps (where you can dock websites and open in a simplified Safari browser).

More personal features include:

  • General updates to all other applications (including Messages)
  • More support for gaming
  • Slow motion screensavers which transform into the desktop wallpaper when you login.

Devices supported include:
